UPS drove up my driveway and delivered 6 boxes of my newest book yesterday... Christmas has come early to my neighborhood!
When you are a cartoonist, the coolest job in the world, you never ever ever get tired of seeing your work in print. BUT...your work appears in a medium that ends up in the recycle bins of coffee shops and offices and homes across the country every day. Poof, it's gone.
And the online version? Well, it's there... but you can't put it on the fridge or leave a collection on the coffee table.
UNLESS...
You have a book! Hallelujah, a book. Where you can read strips more than one at a time, follow story lines, watch character development, linger over your favorites, read all the ones you had no idea you'd missed.
