Recently a kind reader alerted me to the fact that my comic strip is mentioned in a new Robert B. Parker mystery. On page 269 of Rough Weather, from Putnam, Parker writes:
"I was studying a strip called Stone Soup, which seemed pretty good, and might fill the void left by Calvin & Hobbes, when Maggie Lane came in to see me."
Parker lives in the Boston area and I presume he reads Stone Soup in the Boston Globe. I don't know what I did to deserve this honor, but if anyone knows Mr. Parker, tell him thank you!
Hmmmmmm... maybe Wally needs a new mystery for the holidays.
